Today online education plays a key role in all spheres of life from schools to colleges, vocational institutions and universities all over the world. Even though we are living in the age of technology, there is a large demographic who is negatively affected due to the lack of accessibility to proper resources.

While a significant number of the population is using the internet for educational purposes and to make career progress in their fields, there is still a large number (almost 60% of rural India) who haven’t adopted it. While the reasons for this ranged from lack of awareness to affordability, the underlying problem was to identify the causes and find ways to provide computer education to those in remote locations.

Keeping this goal in mind, we worked with Antyoday Anath Ashram to help them establish a computer education center in rural Bengal.  This computer education center aims to improve this situation for underprivileged children and young adults by providing every user with the resources which would allow them to access all the internet and access technology to broaden their horizons and for their careers in the future.

Antyodaya Anath Ashram:

A Unique Concept of Community Service

Antyodaya Anath Ashram is a non-profit organization based in West Bengal. The main aim of this charitable foundation is developing the skills and abilities of the children so that they can face the world on their own feet.

“If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”

The Antyodaya Anath Ashram has been a living example of how to establish a charity organization – which uplifts people by providing education for orphans and training for jobs, creating awareness about social ills and fighting against exploitation through empowerment of adolescent girls and women among others. Their unique philosophy of providing those in need with the skills to be self dependent, has helped many in need to come to a new understanding of the world with new connections, skills and perspectives which further empower them.

Antyoday Anath Ashram is committed to helping the orphans in their village by providing them with a computer education center that will allow them to provide computer education and career guidance in order to strengthen their dreams of becoming leaders and productive citizens of India.

The orphan children at this ashram have been studying until they reach the standard of X to XII. This means that these children are ready to pursue further education, but cannot afford to do so because their financial situation has deteriorated once again back home.

CodeCraft Technologies is proud to have extended its support to Antyodoy Anath Ashram by providing them with computers to support them to set up a computer education center.  We believe that everyone should have an opportunity to pursue their passion and become whatever they want.

With CodeCraft's support, these young people will not only be able to continue their education but also improve upon it further by learning new skills through computer training. We are humbled to have been a part of Antyoday’s efforts in making "today's destitute into tomorrow's leader".

We have a long-term plan to reach out to 500 children aged between 7 and 18 years and 500 unemployed youths in rural areas to help them to earn their livelihood through this project. Our goal is to provide these young people with an opportunity that will set them on a path toward success both personally and professionally so they can live happy lives and support themselves financially.
